They're calling for cold temperatures one winter night, a rarity in Myrtle Beach, but it does happen. That's when the unthinkable occurs - your heater is making weird noises and it isn't putting out any warm air. It seems like it's on the outs, and you're thinking the worst: that you'll need a full heating replacement.

Don't go that far just yet. Noises and lack of warm air aren't good, but they don't necessarily mean that your heating system needs to be totally replaced. Before you go that far, give us a call - an expert consultation and inspection may show you that you only need heating repairs.

Signs can go either way, but the mildest among them can simply indicate that you need system repair instead of a replacement. As your top air conditioning repair and heating repairs company, we're going to go over five signs that your heating system needs to be repaired.

#1: YOUR HEATER ISN'T PUTTING OUT HOT AIR

A lack of heat when you turn your heater on isn't the most encouraging sign. However, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's time to replace your heater...yet. This could be indicative of a smaller issue, such as dirty filters, or a bigger issue, such as a damaged or broken ignition system. These issues are fortunately fairly easy to fix, and can have your system running good as new with simple heating repairs.

#2: YOU HAVEN'T HAD YOUR HEATER SERVICED IN A YEAR OR MORE

If your heater isn't running at its best level, consider one thing before you choose to have it replaced: how long has it been since you had it serviced? If your heating system has gone longer than a year without a proper service, then a simple maintenance service can have it working at optimum levels again.

#3: THERE'S LITTLE TO NO AIR FLOW COMING FROM YOUR HEATER

Noticing a lack of air flow coming from your heater can be very troubling. It doesn't mean that it needs to be replaced, though. There are several different reasons there may be a lack of air coming out of your heating system. With a thorough inspection, we can come up with a heating repair plan to have air flowing through your heating system easier than before.

#4: THERE ARE STRANGE NOISES COMING FROM YOUR HEATER

Strange noises, such as "tinks" or "groans", coming from your heater can be the first signs of a heater that's about to go out for good. You can fix them, though, with an inspection that allows us to come up with a proper heating repair plan.

#5: YOUR HEATER IS TURNING ITSELF OFF WHEN IT SHOULDN'T

Your heater seems to be working just fine until, suddenly, it turns itself off. This can be concerning, but don't let it make you think that you need to throw out your old heating system immediately. Your heater turning itself off could indicate an issue with your pilot switch, which can be repaired.
